Not long after we moved here we sat on this bench, looking at the view and celebrated our good fortune in living in Sequim. We don’t always take the path past this bench but on a day like this I remember those moments. I still feel fortunate.

Valley view
Some of the most beautiful views in our valley are from our farmlands. I have no doubt that factored into the original homesteading decisions.
Keeping it together
We first saw this barn from behind, this perspective. The look of stripes caught my eye.
The “stripes” are strips of wood that have been applied. It may not have the look of a new barn but someone’s using and maintaining this one. That’s nice to see.
Dungeness Recreation Area
The trail meanders a short distance through a wooded area and then opens onto this view. Access to the bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca near here has recently been moved inland because of erosion. But this view helps make up for the loss of a beautiful water vantage.
Flawless sky
We had beautiful weather last weekend, the kind that spoils you for anything else that may be coming. I took this shot in an open field behind a place called Blue Sky Realty. It seemed fitting, don’t you think?
Clearing skies
We’ve had over a half inch of welcome rain this month. Because of this we’ve not seen much of the Olympic Mountains. We were tickled to see fresh snow during a clear period yesterday morning. It’s the first we’ve seen this season.
How green is the valley
The spot where this is taken is one of the best places to view the Dungeness Valley. I’ve shown this view before and chances are good that I’ll show it again. It’s hard to tire of this vista.
