Lately we’ve had a lot of grey days but I can still find myself taken by the view.

Classic
This is another of my favorite barns. I have a big print of it, in black and white, on the wall of my craft room. I like it like this, in color, too.
Theme Day: Photo of the Year
Happy New Year! On January 1st City Daily Photo challenges its photographers to pick a best or favorite photo of the year just passed.
I’m not picking one. You’re getting three shots that capture what I love here in Sequim, like the view above.
And a beautiful road that runs like a ribbon, beckoning the viewer on a magical journey.
Or a bench like this, contemplating a place, a day.

Holiday madness
I’m taking a short break. The holidays have caught up with me. Though my camera has tagged along lately I haven’t had a chance to put it to work. I hope to be back soon. In the meantime, enjoy your holidays!
Frostbite
We’ve been having very clear — and very cold — days. It’s been well below freezing at night. But there’s no snow and that’s a good thing. The clouds you see here are the blankets that usually keep things warmer. They’re coming back and rain’s in the forecasts. That means defrosted toes and noses. That’s a good thing, too.
Encore
I’m nothing if not consistent. Here’s another of those shots of mountain shadings that keep me snapping.
Blue Olympics
Sometimes the Olympic Mountains present themselves in shaded tones, layer on layer of mountains moving into the distance. Always softly tinted and subtle.
