Magnificent Oak
At the end of Lake Crescent (Fairholm) is a grove of these VERY OLD magnificent oak trees. They are all covered in moss but do leaf out every spring. We were there a little early for the leaves. But his tree is glorious in all the seasons.
What happened to spring?

I am always fascinated by the fog and clouds drifting in and out of the tree in the Olympics. I thought this was more powerful in Sepia.
One last swim…
Kids getting in one last swim from the Fairholm dock on Lake Crescent. The water is always sooooooo clear here.
You have to get up early for reflection
Lake Crescent is so beautiful…even better from the water.
I love the reflections of the rock walls in the water here. But every day by about 10 am the winds have begun and no more reflections.
This area is of a railroad tunnel ( just to the left of the wood bridge) that is now part of the Olympic Discovery trail.
