Cook’s night off

If there’s anything I’ve been doing a lot during home quarantine it’s cooking. Some days I’m more enthusiastic than others. But sometimes I miss things, often ethnic cooking, that I know I can’t cook as well as well as someone with skills and seasonings I don’t have.

The other day we got takeout from Sergio’s, a local Mexican restaurant. A chili rellano and enchilada verde with all the trimmings, including homemade chips and salsa. Enough food for two heavenly meals for this cook.

  1. I hope that was very tasty!
I’m so sorry that Saturday I couldn’t write a comment on your blog.
Due to a technical problem … I didn’t have internet all weekend!

  2. Looks good… my wife and I have also been using takeout once a week. So far restaurants here are only allowed to serve food on outdoor patios or takeout.

  3. That looks so good to me. I’ve only gotten take out Mexican food once during this lock down. I need to change that. I’m going to see what I can do about that this week. In addition to Mexican, I’d love to get some Thai food from one of my favorite Thai restaurants. Oh boy, now I’m hungry.

  4. That sounds good, I love Mexican food. We don’t have a Mexican place in town here, the closest one is an hour away in Letterkenny. 🙁
