Test pilots

Canada Geese around here have begun organizing into flocks and many will migrate south as we head into winter. We see them heading back and forth in the skies these days in flying wedges. Some flocks look better organized than others. Tomorrow I’ll show you one of those test flights.

  1. They do that here too, of course, getting smaller groups organized into larger groups before setting out south. We’ll still see them for awhile, but they’ll be the ones coming from points further north and stopping in for a break.

  2. I love this pic! They look like they are floating. I saw a big flock of them in a park this morning, eating and getting ready to fly south I think.

  3. Hi Kay,
Gosh, I haven’t been by your blog in just ages. Lots in life has changed, but still good and I find joy in every day. Glad to see you are still posting, so many that I used to follow have taken their blogs offline. I have been tempted a time or two, but 12 years of work is a lot to just toss out. Hope you’re well.

  4. What a super shot Kay. My first thought was of the flight of ducks figures that my mum had on the wall when we were growing up 😊
