Today is the last day of school for the Sequim School District. The year was extended due to all the snow days we had over the winter.
These are photos of Sequim Middle School and play fields beyond. In the distance are foothills of the Olympic Mountains.
I liked all the schools I went to but I never had a view like that.
No more pencils,
no more books,
no more teachers dirty looks.
It’s been a long time for me, but do they still have pencils in schools?

I think it’s probably the last week here, as I still saw kids in a schoolyard this morning.
Our schools ended their year a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t have a view like that either when I went to school.
All of my schools were deep in urban settings – even university!
