The mourning doves haven’t had an easy time of it lately. We have a little flock that hangs around our garden. Lately I’ve found them perched on our garden fence and apple tree, puffed up against the cold. I’m guessing they’re not happy.

The accumulation of snow must have confused them. What’s going on? 🙂
They’ll be more cheerful when spring comes.
I don’t blame them for being unhappy! They weren’t expecting all of that snow either.
Aren’t they lucky to have their own puffed up coats.
All of our birds that come to our yard are puffy against this cold and snow. We still have at least of foot of snow on the deck and yard – we are on top of a hill and are always to last to get the melting – but at least it has stopped snowing. Though they say another storm might hit on Tuesday and Wednesday – but hopefully it will be short lived and rain will return soon. Have a grand week my friend.
