Views of Sequim, the Olympic Peninsula. . .and beyond
Last Saturday was a Special Olympics basketball championship tournament in Bremerton. As he has for a number of years, my longtime friend David coached his son’s team.
We try to make it to the tournament each year if we can.
Our team faced stiff competition in both games they played.
In the end everyone is a winner and all the athletes earn medals.
I loved the intimacy of a father sharing time and ice cream with his small children in Poulsbo.

A special note for today: This is my 1600th post since I began with this blog in August 2011…It only goes to prove that time flies when you’re having fun.
These are bicycles. It may have been a while since you’ve been outside to ride one. You know, pedaling along, enjoying sun on your face and a soft breeze in your hair. Sun, you ask? Sun is that big, yellow thing up in the sky that makes an occasional rare appearance these days just to keep its reputation intact.
These are the real thing, not the toy or movie version. They’re used in electrical transmission.
I’ve posted this bottle tree before but it’s changed. It’s been nicely washed this winter and it’s been reconfigured. I guess even glass trees grow and get pruned.
I’d planned to take a picture of this snag for months. It finally all came together.
Yeah. It’s been really wet.
