I love a vista that gives a grand view of the sky and I love clouds. My mother would have called this a “buttermilk sky.” I think the proper term for these clouds is “altocumulus.”
Interesting character
This fellow was enjoying music at the Farmer’s Market last month. I didn’t approach him but would lay bets that he’s unique.
Flowers galore
There’s an eye catching display of flowers on Towne Road that I look forward to seeing this time of year.
They are all annuals so there’s nothing but bare soil in winter. But by July and August there’s a long row of blooms, enough to bring a smile to the face of any flower lover.
I caught a glance of the talented gardener as I headed back to my car. There’s quite a garden behind the wall of flowers.
Eye catcher
This house near Carrie Blake Park rarely fails to catch my eye. One of these days I’ll get back there in better light so I can show you more.
Too cute
I’m betting those flames aren’t a factory option.
Clouds
There was color in the original of this shot. But not enough in the sky.
Five
You see a small, private celebration here. Me, a few tools of the trade, and a cupcake from That Takes the Cake. A tradition. Cupcake. Candles. A pat on ones back.
I started blogging on Sequim Daily Photo five years ago today. That’s 1777 posts in case you’re counting.
I didn’t know the first thing about blogging when I started. I’ve missed some days. I’ve wondered why the heck I’m doing it. I’ve gotten to know some wonderful other bloggers and still mourn a couple who’ve passed away. I’ve taken a lot of pictures. But here I am. If nothing else, it’s a good excuse for a cupcake.
