There was a little snow and freezing rain on Friday night. There may be snow this coming week. Until then the plow waits to be called into action.
Quackers
Ducks certainly seem to be gregarious. If a body of water is large enough for a handful of ducks you’re likely to see a whole community of them.
Humane Society
The Humane Society has moved into new quarters on Old Olympic Highway in Port Angeles. They provide a cute welcome with this mailbox.
There’s a new building on the property called the “Bark House” for dogs.
“Kitty City” houses the cats.
And there’s an office where you can take care of the necessities for adopting a new friend.
Wind music
Port Angeles, Sequim’s westerly neighbor, has an interesting selection of street art. This wind chime must be about 12 feet high. I imagine it must put on quite a concert on a windy day.
Theme Day: Loving Life
Here’s my submission for this month’s City Daily Photo theme day, “Loving Life.” Really, what better way to love life than to live in the moment and who better lives in the moment than a happy dog?

Lost cause
This is one of those swaybacked barns that’s slowly surrendering to age and the elements, sadly past redemption.
Rerun
DH reminded me that I’d shot and posted this truck before. It was years ago. It hasn’t moved since. And it hasn’t improved with age. That’s thick moss growing along the side of its bed.
