Blue sky

Even yesterday when it was raining in Sequim (yes, it does happen) I saw blue sky down by the Dungeness Spit.   I’d look toward the mountains and it was dark sky…look towards the water and it was blue sky.   There have been times when it’s raining at home and we drive down to the Rec area to walk knowing we have time to beat the rain and get our walk done.

Oh deer

We often see a lot of deer in the area.  One drive I remember counting over 30.   I know they drive a lot of people crazy when they destroy things, thankfully I haven’t had that problem yet so I can just enjoy them.

Pond

Yesterday while driving home I saw a duck with her ducklings marching down the street and I slowed to make sure they crossed okay and I was hoping to get a picture of them in the pond, but they didn’t make an appearance.  I like stopping and watching the activity at this pond anyway.  Sometimes it’s loaded and sometimes just a few.  Also interesting to watch as the seasons change.

Valley view

These houses were down in a valley and the mountains were out and gorgeous on Saturday.   I love days like that in Sequim because you look one way and you have gorgeous mountain views, look the other way and it’s clear blue water views.   Sunday the clouds set in, the sun stayed hidden for the most part, it rained a little and the mountains were back under cover.
