Special Olympics
Last Saturday was a Special Olympics basketball championship tournament in Bremerton. As he has for a number of years, my longtime friend David coached his son’s team.
We try to make it to the tournament each year if we can.
Our team faced stiff competition in both games they played.
In the end everyone is a winner and all the athletes earn medals.

Winter sarcasm
These are bicycles. It may have been a while since you’ve been outside to ride one. You know, pedaling along, enjoying sun on your face and a soft breeze in your hair. Sun, you ask? Sun is that big, yellow thing up in the sky that makes an occasional rare appearance these days just to keep its reputation intact.
