Views of Sequim, the Olympic Peninsula. . .and beyond
The Olympic Medical Center in Sequim offers several medical specialties, a lab, diagnostic imaging, and a walk in clinic for locals who look for medical care on the Olympic Peninsula. It’s not always quick or easy to find local specialists here — or even generalists for that matter.
But we do have a small cancer center.
It’s not all country in Sequim. There are neighborhoods with a classic suburban look to them.
We have a very small trailer — lilliputian, really. Ours is cute but in my book this one takes the cake. Throw in a canoe and let the fun begin.
Two trails. Two days. Yesterday.
The day before yesterday. A trail closer to the bluffs. Think it gets sandy when the wind blows? Think it may get windy often?
Students at Sequim High School make these flower baskets every year and they’re hung along our downtown Washington Street. They’re pretty even on a gloomy day and I hate to see them come down at the end of summer.
I saw this table full of beautiful pottery at the Farmer’s Market last weekend. The platters caught my eye but I couldn’t justify the impulse. Now I’m home with a photo full of temptation. I just may have to go back.
Musician Buck Ellard has played a number of gigs around the area lately. I caught him at the Sequim Farmer’s Market last Saturday.
Buck played an electric fiddle and we enjoyed a smokin’ version of “Orange Blossom Special.”
