The great Blue Heron can be found in the Galapagos too! You can tell we’re not in Sequim with the black lava and Salley crabs.

Boat or house?
This boat turned into house sits on the street to oPint No Point Light House in Hansville.
Pretty setting
This seems like a great setting for these houses and barn. Nice view!
Fortune changed
I first found this house here, in 2016, when it looked as if it had been abandoned in mid construction. I don’t know when work was done but it’s finished, along with a nifty looking barn.
Six years on
Almost six years ago I posted a shot of this house here. It was moved from several miles away to this location.
Although it is now anchored onto a foundation its progress has been slow if you count the years. It’s gotten some paint here and there. A small tractor was moving soil around the day I took these shots. The house itself still looks unoccupied from here, though.
Roof lines
Sometimes things just line up.
Lake Hogback
There’s a narrow road that goes up and over a ridge called Hogback. On its southern side it looks down into this broad, open expanse of land. At one time part of the area you see on the right had building lots for sale. But in a wet year like the one we’ve had the land floods. Eventually the water evaporates or the water table subsides enough to absorb it. So far this year there’s still plenty of flooding. The ducks are happy.
Click here to see a closer view from flooding in 2016. I believe the area is no longer permitted for building.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day for those of the Irish persuasion. Erin go bragh!
