It was hazy on Tuesday and on days like that the mountains blend into greys. The contrasts were so subtle when I took this photo that the profiles almost blended together. I did some work in Photoshop but this color shot still appears almost black and white.

This looks much like a painting I photographed and posted on my Images blog a week or two ago. Very beautiful! You did a good job.
Unfortunately “black and white” is not unusual on the coast, we can expect a good many more days of “shades of grey” over the coming winter. At least this week coming looks to be fairly decent.
