Looking over my posts from 2016 these two shots from Butchart Gardens last spring really caught my eye. In the middle of winter the foliage and color was a sight for sore eyes.
I think I’ve formulated a 2017 resolution: get back to Butchart Gardens again this spring.
It makes me realize I have better days to look forward to.

Very beautiful shots, Kay. You really should go there in the Winter as they decorate every Winter to a “theme”. Last Winter was “12 days of Christmas” and it just couldn’t have been more beautiful.
Mike, we’ve visited a couple of times for the winter decorations. The last time there it had snowed and the lights and 12 Days of Christmas were especially magical (I especially love the “Birds a Callin'”). But you can’t go wrong any time of year at Butchart Gardens.
It really is a gorgeous place. My parents visited it once.

I was there May 1st for the 8th time, took reams of photos yet again. I really like your approach-to-the-bridge shot. I’ll have to remember that for my next time!

Love that splash of red! Looks like a beautiful & relaxing place filled with photo opps. This reminds me that I should return to the botanical gardens here sometime soon (before the seasonal residents and tourists really arrive).
