Berry heaven

Graysmarsh Farms has u-pick berries that start with strawberries that ripen in June. Then come raspberries, loganberries, and boysenberries. Summer ends with blueberries and blackberries. Bring a container, have it weighed, then head into the fields. On a clear day there’s a wonderful view of the Olympics and most any time it’s a delightful spot to pick luscious fresh berries as you dream of preserves or pies or other yummies.  And don’t forget the lavender!

The labor pays off if you love fresh berries. These fresh raspberry gems cost $2 per pound. How much are they in your market?

  1. There used to be a lot of U-Pick farms in the valley, but warehouses and 12 feet of fill has caused their demise… lovely shots…

  2. Beautiful! We pay about $4.99 a pint (I think) down here in Central Texas. What we get is nowhere near fresh, since it’s trucked in. 🙂

  3. I couldn’t get on the site earlier, but this was worth the wait. Those berries look delicious and look so much better than what you can find in the stores.
Picking berries in the fields is how we made summer cash growing up.

  4. Raspberries cost twice as much here. Really don’t know of any place expect maybe Sebastopol where you can pick them yourself. Wouldn’t those raspberries taste wonderful on top of vanilla ice cream? Love the truck too.
