Sequim is known for it’s “Banana Belt” climate. Our Chamber of Commerce brags that we have have more Sunny Days than anywhere else in western Washington. They used to post the number of days we had sunshine…now they post the hours. “1551.4 hours this year 1272.9 hours last year”.
This picture, shows the entrance to a local subdivision that boasts a clubhouse and golf. “Sunland” is appropriately named and a lovely place to live.

  1. When I dream about where to retire and the Pacific Northwest comes to mind, I will add Sequim to my mental tour. A place where there is sun, huge trees, water, cool temperatures . . . it may be a continental paradise.
