A natural frame for protection island

From up on Bell Hill you could see protection island and even Mt Baker faintly in the distance. Sequim doesn’t usually get much snow in town. But if you go up just 100 ft into the foothills (like the Bell Hill neighborhood) you’ll find snow.

Patience

I waited for over an hour for this eagle to take off. The light was waning away when he finally did. He looks very determined. Was that what my face looked like while I was concentrating on the shot?

Faraway Friday-Boobies

Two male blue footed boobies having a stand off in the Galapagos. Animals generally were not afraid of humans and paid us no mind.

Sol Duc Beauty

The Sol Duc River splits into these three tails making the falls. This is just the very top of the falls. It’s one of my favorite falls in the area.

Magic fog

Just before dusk on a stormy afternoon the fog was dipping in and out of the valleys in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains.
