Wishful thinking….This is from a visit last year to Heronswood garden.
These lil ones were born this week. The one with the cute white head and BIG black ears was tucked in behind the irrigation pipe and the fence where he would quit being stepped on by the adults.
This little calf was just born this am. He was still kinda wet and he and mom were licking him dry. Black cows with white faces are my favorite!
We go thru the middle of this farm on rides on the Olympic discovery trail. It’s part of the the conservation trust land which was bought to keep all the farms from becoming apartments and new housing.
This is as close to sunrise as you get in the summer since the sun never sets. You wait for a good storm and the sun peaking thru.
I gauge the season by how this mountain top looks from window. It was spotty last week but the latest storms have once again iced the top.
I’m not sure this big boy is actually shy of anything….
