While chasing my Kingfisher about, I stopped to take some new photos of the Railroad Bridge since they have straightened the approach from the Audubon Center.
Well, I am a Kingfisher…
I have been trying to catch a good Kingfisher in flight shot for 7 years! At long last. This guy was at Railroad Bridge Park, flitting in a triangle between two stumps and a tree. I spent about 3 hours there but finally captured quite of few shots I’m happy with.

Much of the ODT (Olympic Discovery Trail) is on what what the old rail lines and bridges. Johnson Creek near John Wayne Marina is one of those.
I got up nice and early so I could lay down and get this perspective without being run over by a bicyclist!
This is a beautiful sculpture at the Chihuly Glass Museum at Seattle Center.

This Baldy pair have a nest about 20 ft below on this snag. The one on the left is the female. They are about 25% larger than the males. Females weigh 10-15lbs and the males 6-9 lbs.
