Protection Island Puffin

Protection Island is supposed to have the largest colony of Tufted Puffins in Washington state. I’ve been going out since April and still have only seen two couples. But they are gorgeous!

Hard to shoot from a bouncing boat however….

They’re Back….

The swallows are back at my lil barn house this year. I’ve been hearing the little chirps for a week or so and the parents are hunting with desparate frequency now. Finally saw some lil faces today.

Faraway Friday–Victoria Lighthouse

Hanging in there

This Kingfisher had quite the grip on this lil branch to stay in the windstorm.

Aren’t his lil feet cute?
