A man was showing off his lizard at the festival
Every year on the third Full weekend of July (Friday Saturday Sunday) Sequim holds its’ Lavender Festival. We have a street fair, lavender farm tours (3 requiring admission AND 15 Free admission), barn dances, FREE concerts in the park and lot’s of purple fun. There are also dozens more farms in the arear that aren’t on the OFFICIAL map.
This was taken with the Olympic Mountains in the background, at a newer farm called Olympic Bluffs Lavender Farm and Cidery.
This beautiful mallard was doing all sorts of moves to attract the attention of a female in the pond across from John Wayne Marina. He caught my attention–I think he was disappointed!

This Barred owl stayed in the tree for hours…but most often kept one eye sort of open.
This Galapagos SEA LION is an evolution of the California Seal. Note the EARS which makes it a Sea LION… They both like to lounge around in the sun…That hasn’t changed.
Scratch it! This Mallard duckling had a good scratch at Carrie Blake pond.
