This beautiful Red Titi monkey burst from the jungle climbing at an amazing pace up the cable to the 150ft platform we were standing on. Cool-but a lil scary too!
When a friend and I went to Solduc falls, we saw quite a line up pulled over at the rive so we stopped to see what was the commotion. The salmon were running heavily and it was so fun to watch them launch themselves up the little falls.
Protection Island used to have one of the largest colonies of tufted puffins on the pacific coast. However this year I only saw 6 breeding pairs and a single. The experts reported only one pair left. They have left the area due to predation. The Bald eagles were taking too much of a toll so the moved on…
Kingfishers are skiddish and FAST. So I was very happy he granted me permission to photograph him!
Sequim Bay and the straight between the bay and Protection Island are filled with Guillemots. They love the little eel type fish that are plentiful here.
