I took this in Skagit Valley at the tulip festival. Had a lot of fun making cards with it. Below is the original. The lone yellow flower really caught my attention.

Sequim was/ is a farming community. Good soil, good irrigation (thus the irrigation festival) and mild weather–all good for growing. So many of the smaller gentleman’s farms have interesting yard “art”.
This is on the way to the entrance to the Audubon Center at Railroad Bridge Park.
This photo of mine was EXPERTLY edited by my friend Barbara Lippert. (my original photo can be seen below. I have a group of friends that get together every Monday. We often take one photo and all do our own creative edits and then share them. It’s amazing how all of our creative minds work differently. I think Barbara’s take was amazing!
I have been so blessed to be able to travel around the world, experience different cultures, meet new friends, AND be able to share my photos with you all.
Another totem carved by Dale Faulstich. This is in front of the 7 Cedars Casino.
Dale has been carving totems for decades. You can see his work throughout Sequim and surrounding areas.
Elephants can cause a lot of damage, and you certainly need to yield and give them a wide berth. But they are very smart creatures and such a joy to observe. I had the pleasure of photographing this one in Tanzania.
Slugs generally give me the willies, but when I focus on their details for macro photography…Somehow they’re not so bad!
