I’ve lived in the NW so long I forget just how cool ferried are. It’s only when I have guests from inland that are mesmerized by everything that I see it fresh.
So when the boat lands- a ramp is lowered to the deck (kinda like an airport ramp docking to a plane.) THen the “walk-on” passengers can disembark while everyone who came on a car drives straight out the front.
When I looked at this shot from Kingston Ferry dock it reminded me instantly of a peacock–just me?

I love the way the light caught the different types of rock in the early mornings.
Many of the boats at the marina in Kingston were lit up for the holidays.
On our trip to Tanzania we saw this group of lions who suddenly snapped their head to the left in unison. They saw lunch in the form of a Thompson’s Gazelle!
