Donkey Dueling

Donkey path near the Olympic Game Farm.

It’s always good to keep your tripod handy in case a donkey comes your way!

That Sinking Feeling…

Saw this on a bike ride thru Chimacum. Had my little Panasonic with me, so I had to stop of course!

Chimacum is a great farming community near Port Townsend with lots of farms, barns, and animals.

Am I a woody?

As much as I shoot birds, you’d think I could figure them out…

I’ve been told this is a female downy woodpecker…but if you know better let me know. She’s the smallest of the woodies that visit my yard.

She hangs out at my house so I really should address her properly!

Who who who am I?

I love owls…and I was so excited to finally capture one. Unfortunately he was on top of a parked dump truck (thus the crop!) I think it’s a Great Horned Owl…

Faraway Friday–OHHH Bear Drool!

Grizzly Bear in Yellowstone

This funny bear kept plunging his head in the snow and then shaking head violently creating the snow spray and lovely drool lines (if you look below his left eye there are two going to the ground.)

Gotcha!

The fish was small–but that just makes it harder to catch right?

I photographed a group of these. All his friends were getting much bigger fish and gulping them in one swoop. This guy kept getting tiny lil fish.

I really like the concentric circles created from his catch.

Oyster Catcher

Ferry terminal in Coopeville

I had gone for a 30 mile bike ride around Whidbey Island and was waiting for the ferry to Pt Townsend. Fortunately, I had my camera. Oh what should I do with my time? Mr. Oyster Catcher gave me the answer.
