Butterflies are such a delight. They seem lighter than air in flight, their wings radiant.

DH takes the shot
DH (“Dear Husband” or “Dear Honey”) has taken on the challenge of learning the ins and outs of one of my cameras. I can grab it when I see a shot and he can experiment at will. This is one of his experiments, a thistle getting ready to pop blossoms. I don’t like thistles but I did like his shot.

Today’s City Daily Photo challenge theme is “Blue.” I’ve chosen a view looking north from Sequim across the Strait of Juan de Fuca toward Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Blue. The color of water. And sky. And, even, clouds.

On the to do list
This is one of those barns I’m curious about. It seems in good condition but I don’t know if it’s in farming use. It’s nestled into a residential area and a clear shot is a challenge. I need to investigate further.
More from downtown
Here’s another “after hours” shot, this time of one of our sort-of shopping malls. This little mall is near our Penney’s store. There’s a kitchen shop, spa, a shoe shop, candle store, and a cafe nestled in here.
And one of the newest tenants is Sweet Spot, which I’ve shown you before. Make your choice from six different frozen yogurts and a vast array of toppings. It’s a perfect place to come after an arduous photo shoot. Or just when it’s time for a pick-me-up.

Dogwood trees are in bloom. This is in front of a neighbor’s house.
Olympic Medical Center
Olympic Medical Center in Sequim is one of the spots where locals can find specialty health care and have diagnostic imaging. There’s also a walk in urgent care clinic. Behind this building is the Cancer Center, which I recently showed you, here, where an addition is being built. I took this shot after hours. The parking lot is usually full during the day.
