I was busy taking a picture of a fetching little goldfinch when a car driving by whipped a U turn and roared back down the road to a snag nearby. I could almost hear them muttering, “Are you kidding? There’s an eagle down here!” So I walked down the street and took my turn. Am I projecting or does this guy look irritated at all the attention?

Last weekend was our 117th annual Irrigation Festival. This is what it’s all about.

Hanging flower baskets and spring foliage at Sunny Farms store. Winter lasted for at least two seasons. It’s hard not to be dazzled into buying a truckload.

Spring has finally arrived and Sunny Farms Nursery is bursting at the seams with plants and people.

My garden is in. . . if you don’t talk about the seeds that haven’t come up. What have you planted?

We have dandelions. Lots of dandelions. And it’s the time of year when you run over them, repeatedly, with a John Deer and they pop up behind you. If the mower weren’t making so much noise you’d hear them laughing “Nice try, sucker!”
