Eaglets update

We went by to check on the eaglets over the weekend and pulled up just as Mom (or Dad?) brought a fish to them and we watched them share a meal. I didn’t have my video camera with me, but took a short video from my camera.

What an amazingly clear video! It reminds me of watching while my parents cut up the food for my litrtle brother before he knew how to do it himself. It’s very interesting how one eaglet is fed while the other patiently watches. They seem remarkably polite.

Amazing video also! I don’t want to think what they were eating…but the way the eaglets would pick up those long pieces…then Mom would pick them up and say, “here , let me get a smaller piece for you!”

Kay, it’s just the lens that came with the camera and the camera is a Sony DSC-H1 with 12x optical zoom that I’ve had about 5 or 6 years now and has definitely seen better days. My husband and I had matching cameras and mine went kaput so I’m using his and hoping it holds on for me.

Great photo & video. Since I live in Sequim, where is the eagle nest? Marine Drive as mentioned by my fellow bicycle riders?

Hi Carol…yes, they are down on Marine Drive in an area that is very easy to miss if you aren’t going slow and watching for it. It’s down past Cline spit headed east.

oooh, i think my boyfriend would love to see this!
whenever we are driving, he is pointing to eagles… sometimes i think; please, keep your eyes on the road!!!
