One of my favorite places in Sequim. The parking lot is usually full so I’m not the only one.

I read that soon you’ll be able to download books to the Kindle from the library. I haven’t talked myself into buying one yet. Anyone have one?

I prefer to read my books the original way. I have a few books that I will give away. I will probably wrap in paper and leave them in the park for someone to find.

I have a Kindle. Love it. I also downloaded the free Kindle app to my laptop. One way to read Kindle without the Kindle. I also have the Kindle app on my smartphone. Come in handy in waiting rooms here and there

I’m with Steffe… I prefer reading with a book in my hands. I’m also a reader who marks up my texts (left over from college perhaps??) and then I re-read books as well. I keep many as well.

I have one and love it. I have fibromyalgia and my hands stiffen up when trying to hold on to big books. I also love real books, so if I read one on kindle that I love, I buy a cheap, used copy on Amazon for my library. You can underline and highlight on a Kindle as well as in a real book. It is also great for travel because you can have lots of books with you to suit your mood. I have never used this feature, but it can also read to you.

the fact that you can always carry around multiple books without their weight seems attractive. but other than that… its (still?) too weird for me.. i prefer to goto a used bookstore and take books from the shelves, put them back again… etc..
anything that needs to be charged needs a charger and i already have so many chargers and its always somewhere else than the device-to-be-charged…
