With more rain on the way, who knows how high it will get?  We are certainly getting soaked.

It’s the time of year when you start to smell wood smoke.  Many people use wood to heat here in the Northwest.  I use propane.  More expensive, but I don’t have to carry out the ashes or carry in the wood.

We are “between winter storms” with forecasts of possible flooding on the Dungeness River.   My place, an old rocky river bed, drains well.  Yesterday there were lots and lots of puddles.   Thank goodness the gentlemen who help me in the yard cleaned out the gutters.

Back to work yesterday.  Good thing I work part time.  I do feel much better.

I am feeling much better and I’m going to give getting out a try.  A huge thank you to Shannon for posting, running errands, buying groceries, and just checking on me.  I love my neighborhood and especially my next door neighbors.

This lovely hydrangea is from a trip to Buchart Gardens in Victoria in 2005.  I’ll catch you something in Sequim today.

A walkway on the Discovery Trail.  Great colors on the trails this time of year up here, it’s dwindling down a little now though.  Norma has the flu, hopefully she’ll be back posting soon because that will mean she feels well enough to.

A scene on the way to Port Angeles.  Norma has the flu so picture taking probably isn’t high on her agenda right now.  We hope she feels better soon!
