We caught a break yesterday.  It only hit  85 at my house…and there was a wonderful cool breeze in the evening.  I think I may venture out today.  I surely hope it lasts.

It’s too hot to go out to take pictures…I settled for this on the back deck.  Soon we need relief.

They say they are good to eat, but I’m looking for pumpkins for the fall.  We can’t hardly keep enough water on our plants right now.  Forecast is for 94 degrees again  today.  We just aren’t used to it.

Sunspots and all, I like this picture.  It’s warm here.  I hesitate to say “hot”, but for us Northwesterners, it really is hot.

Last year I posted a picture of the little house that was parked in the open field at Robin Hill.  Finally, some work started this week.  The big question is what are they doing?  Rumor has it a greenhouse will go in to raise plants for the replanting when the Elwha Dam is removed.  Anyone know the scoop?

Saturday many of the Sunbonnet Sue Quilters had an opportunity to gather at Dungeness Luthern Church with the family and friends of Cynthia Birklid.  It was a wonderful  service and a pleasure to listen to those who knew her well share special memories.  As the sun set yesterday, I was struck by the special beauty and thought again of Cynthia.

This is a repost from last July.  I just couldn’t get a new photo today…lots of work in the yard.

Located in Sequim Bay, John Wayne Marina is one of the nicest marinas in this area.  The first thumbnail shows a military ship in the bay.  I’m not privy to all that they do, but I’ve been told they re-supply navy subs in the strait.  The second thumbnail is a shot of the marina from the other direction…..and then, just for my brother,  is a picture of me, smiling away.  Tomorrow I will show you an algea bloom.

I would like to clarify that many, if not all of these photos have been enhanced in Iphoto.  I was shooting through a plexiglass window.
