It is that time of year when you see stands popping up all over.  This one, in the J.C. Penny parking lot offers a wide variety.   The gentleman in the thumbnail will offer advice and help you find what you want.  Hopefully he will also let you know the rules for firecrackers in Sequim.

The arbor remake is now finished.  I’m very happy, but exhausted.  The guys did all the work…I just fetched and cooked.  It really looks nice and I’ve already started twining the clematis up through the sides.

It is a houseplant with the most exquisite star flowers.  This one is in the home of a friend.

If you have headed west toward P.A. (just before you get to Sunny Farms) and noticed the pink beach balls and pool toys suspended along side the road, you should really stop and check it out.    My friend Debbie just opened Paisley Boutique this week and it is a fun place to shop.    The styles are fresh and fun.  She has jewelry, scarves, belts, bags and adorable tops and dresses….and they are different!  I picked up a really cute gift for the party tonight.  Check it out…Debbie will probably let you  try out the hula hoops too!

I was on my way home from a friends when I decided to stop at Cameron’s strawberry field and see if there was a photo op.  This gentleman kindly allowed me to take his photo.  He was on a mission to get his haul weighed and head home, so I didn’t get his name.  There is nothing quite like fresh strawberries.

It’s taking off and really shooting up.  This is a ten year old Grosso plant that has given me lots of buds.

P.S.  I’ve been ask to comment on how I take care of my plants.  I harvest for buds when about 3/4′s of the buds have opened up on a plant.  (this happens at various times, based on the type of plant…I had 20 different varieties…last winter has reduced that number).  I then hang the stalks to dry. and de-bud later.  I leave the plant alone until late October and then give it a final haircut for the winter.    Most of the lavender farms have websites that have good information on how to take care of your plants….and then I always listen to my son-in-law, Mario, brother of Victor, of  Victor’s Lavender.  A few of my favorite sites are: Purple Haze, Jardin du SoleilSunshine Lavendar.   I hope this post script helps.

It is located on the corner of a field adjacent to Robin Hill Farm Park on Pinnal Road.  I don’t know the whole story.  There were some car prowls in our area about 3 weeks ago.
