Well, not really.  One of the neighbors is new to the area.  He wanted to plant some strawberries in his yard…and bought 100 plants.  The neighbors have been teasing him and planted this sign in his front yard.  We live in a great area.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome for Shannon.

This is a picture of Jessica, aka Jdog, and Wylie, my next door neighbors.  I’ve posted pictures of these two best buds before.  Today I’m sharing their picture to introduce their mom, Shannon, who will be a guest photographer here at sequimwadailyphoto.com on Sundays until the 22nd of May, when she will fill in for me each day while I recover from surgery.  I hope you will stop in and say hello.

That’s right!  As of this minute, barring unforseen complications, I will be having a reverse shoulder replacement at the University of Washington on my right arm, May 26th.   I’ll be in Seattle a week, then home for awhile for recovery.  Shannon has graciously agreed to share her photography of Sequim with you during this time.  I’ve been given instructions not to tell you she is a great photographer.  Well, I think she is pretty darn good…and besides that, I couldn’t ask for a nicer neighbor.  Thank you Shannon.

When I went to pick up my income tax forms today, I noticed the trees behind the office starting to blossom out.  Camera came out and in the back of my mind I wondered, did I post something similar last year?  I went and checked my archives…no, I was just starting back up again in April of last year.  Must have been the year before.

It’s a color and a name that’s very familiar to those of us in the Northwest.  Click on the first link to read about the rise of a family owned bakery.  It’s theme day again in the DCPB family.
