For the paddle enthusiasts, there are a lot of good opportunities for fun in the Sequim area.  This is a picture my husband took from his kayak (the yellow one) in Dungeness Bay looking toward Cline Spit as they set out to paddle.

Well, not really.  The blossom just looks that way now.  It’s a plant that likes semi shade, grows from a bulb, and is suppose to help deter moles.   I bought the bulbs last fall and neglected to get them in the ground.  I found them in Febuary and  to my surprise they managed to come up this spring.  I’m anxious for them to bloom.  In the meantime, I look for the name in one of my books.

Parade season is upon the Olympic Peninsula.  I spotted the Sequim Wolves practicing in the parking lot.  They looked pretty good…and will look even better when marching in the irrigation parade.  Check back in a couple of weeks for another view.

I need to clarify some information.  My surgery is schedule in MAY (26th)  Shannon has been doing the Sunday photo just to get in the groove.  I had a mini emergency this week and she did another one for me on a phone call’s notice.  Once again, I am so glad she is my neighbor and my friend.    She will take over on a semi permanent basis the 22nd of May until I get back in the groove…hopefully the 2nd or third week in June.  In the meantime…work, little emergencies, work, yard work, sew a little…life is good.
