Old Mill Cafe

It was too hot to cook dinner…I know, any old excuse, but really, it was too hot! I’ve had lunch at the Old Mill Cafe on Carlsborg Road, but never dinner. I’ll be back again. The food was excellent. There were 4 of us, and we all were very pleased with our dinner. Tomorrow it is suppose to cool down a bit. I certainly hope so. Summer has finally arrived with vengeance. Be careful what you wish for.

I’m still wishing for sunshine, summer has been a washout here, weeks and weeks of rain!

The architecture looks good, and rugged. I would assume from it that the meals and table settings are also rugged and that the plates are full to overflowing. Nice photography.

We have had an extremely unusual August, Norma. It is supposed to be hot and muggy and not much rain. It has been cool to almost cold and we had adequate rain and plants and things grew like crazy. Now, it is still cooler than normal but it has not rained in a week or so and things are acting more normal, curling and changing color and blooms are becoming seeds. My lavendar is gone, for the most part, and while some bees still visit, it is nothing like earlier this month and in July.

Norma, glad I could supply a bit of information and satisfy your curiosity about Hammering Man.

I share your angst over our recent hot weather. Compared to where I was last week, in Montana, though, our temperatures in the PNW were almost balmy. Now for a short dose of fall weather … if the pundits are to be believed.

The Old Mill Cafe is an attractive looking place. Perhaps I’ll give it a try next time I’m in Sequim.
