Those who come to music in the park come in all shapes and sizes.  See you there tonight?

I didn’t go anywhere today.  This is in my yard.

It looks as though A 1 Auto Parts, in downtown Sequim, is getting a new roof.

My plan was to post a sign advertising the ice cream social at the grange this evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.  However, I just got a new “My Book” and have spent the afternoon transferring pictures off my hard drive on to my new storage unit in hopes of getting the old computer running faster again.    Well, can’t find the darn picture.  So I guess you will have to look at a photographer taking pictures at “Music in the Park” last Tuesday until I get this all figured out.  Have a great weekend.

First of all, thanks to all who stopped by yesterday and posted their method of picking out cantaloupe.  For my guests and I, Jacqueline’s method worked great!  (see thumbnail)  It tasted sweet, not too soft, not too hard.  Yum!

Now I have to try it out myself.  About todays photo…..  Last Tuesday some friends and I went to hear the Olympic Trombone Orchestra play at “Music in the Park”.  I really enjoyed the group and their music.  They had a certain energy that set my toe to tapping.  My curiousity was peaked when I saw this gentleman messing with the black thing in his hand.  At first I thought it was a pretty fancy object to clean his trombone.   Turns out it is a horn stand.

For more “music in the park”, stop by next Tuesday to hear Rate Limiting Step, a contemporary group, from 6 to 8 p.m.

cantaloupes.jpg As I have previously mentioned, I love Sunny Farms. Â
With the rising cost of food , I want to make sure anything I buy is good.  I thought you picked out cantaloupe by the color.  Not according to Jacqueline.  (thumbnail)  She likes the button test.  Find the button where the vine was attached and push with your fingers.  If it gives, it is ready to eat.  I’ll let you know tomorrow if it worked.  How do you pick out a cantaloupe?

lhamas.jpg …what you will find walking on the Olympic Discovery Trail.  These folks were out acclimating their llamas to the big wide world.  They are 7 years old (can live to be 25) and the owners eventually want to  train them as pack animals.  Who knew?  Apparently lots of people…just not me.
