yardart2.jpg A little “yard art” can be a good thing.  This owner seems to be proud of our connection to the sea. yardart1.jpg

ota2.jpg I ran out of pictures from my walk…fortunately, I spotted the new paint job OTA is sporting.  (They did a great job!) This beautiful building at one time was Trinity United Methodist Church.  It was then sold to the Boys and Girls Club, who  sold it to OTA.  Looks like there is a great new dinner theatre coming up.  Sounds like fun!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was a market for these yellow flowers?  dandy1.jpg

newlandscape.jpg On my walk I jogged over to Fir Street and happened to come across something that is happening a lot this time of year.   It’s time to spruce up and fix up.  You will find this new look at the corner of Fir and Seventh.  I think they did a nice job.   awelch.jpg    worker.jpg

picketfence.jpg On my walk, I found this picket fence on Alder Street.  I love the look of a picket fence…don’t want to paint one, but the look is great.  rose.jpg

school1.jpg It’s Monday morning and after a glorious weekend, I’m off to work.  Behind all that lush vegetation is where I spend Monday through Thursday helping young people and adults increase their skills and for some, their GED.  While I work for Peninsula College, our classroom is based in the Sequim Community School.  It’s an older facility that provides opportunities for many diverse groups.  I love working there.  It’s a treat to walk down the hall where art created by the students is displayed.  I’m always amazed at their abilities.

bell1.jpg On the corner of alder and Second sits a very old bell.  I don’t know the history.  It does sit on the corner of the Sequim Community School property.  The thumbnails gives scant information about it’s history…only who presented it.  Any locals know the history? bell4.jpg
