I’m on the way to the Grange on Saturday to check out the train show (more tomorrow) when I spotted this old truck parked in a yard. I love the arrangement. It just made it look like fall. The apples and the barn in the background were the perfect touch.

PS. Happy 75th Birthday Bill Burnside! Many happy returns of the day.

Just down the road, at the corner of Kitchen-Dick and Old Olympic Highway, is the Weyerhaeuser Sequim Seed Orchard. Once a year you see these funny little machines all over with seed pickers at the controls. The seed cones are all picked by hand. For some reason they don’t pick all of them. It’s fun to watch.

On the back road to my house I spotted these bovines milling around. Tomorrow, come back and check out a “seed picker”

Today I am poaching on Jelistar’s territory by posting this picture of the entry way to the new Longhouse on the Peninsula Community College Campus. On our field trip last Tuesday, we were able to go inside and take a peek. The official opening was on Monday . As you enter, there is Native American art work displayed in the foyer. (thumbnails)
