More building…the new home for Rite Aide is almost finished….and rumor has it, Walgreens will go in on the corner to the East. My goodness, will it ever stop? Probably not.

I am really looking forward to this weekend. Hopefully I will have the time to visit all of you blogs. It has been a busy, hectic week.

I confess…he is not in Sequim, but out on the coast. I am sure things will get back to normal here soon and you will see lots more of Sequim.

Key Bank is located on East Washington Street. One of the smaller banks in our area, but they have lovely landscaping.

I like shopping here. They have just about everything a girl needs…except for groceries. If I need it for my yard, I probably bought it here. The gentleman in the thumbnail is carting of one of his purchases.

I always thought fuschias had to be grown in the shade. Apparently not. In front of Stapes on East Washington is what I call a “pocket garden”. There is a wide variety of hardy fuschias, a path, bench, and beauty to enjoy.

I LOVE September! It’s my birthday month…and at my age, I celebrate all year long. It’s time for school to start again…and as a teacher I can’t wait to go school supply shopping. And….it’s Mexican Independence Day! Last night our local Folkloric group performed the folk dances of Mexico for an hour and a half. They have been a group for 5 years, teaching the local youth the dances of the Mexican culture. Las Palomas catered the dinner and it was outstanding! I was particulary thrilled because my darling daughter was the one who announced the dances last night. At one point, she told the story in Spanish while my big boy then read in English. I was so proud! (see thumbnail)
