This dapper guy is all puffed up. His orange feet caught my eye. He hangs out at the Friendship Garden in Carrie Blake Park.
Thanks to all of you who stopped by and “made my day” yesterday. I appreciate the visits and the kind words.

Today I celebrate one year as a DCP Blogger! It has been a great experience. I have enjoyed all of the friends I have met, learning new things every day from other bloggers, and looking at my world in a new and different way. I would especially like to thank all of you who have stopped by and visited. You have made me happy to share Sequim. Today I am sharing our annual “in the lavender” photo. Joining me are “baby girl” and “my big boy”, the shining lights of my life.
about Today is the Day!

Someone fetilized and has taken good care of these blooms. Summer is started to fade, and there are some that could stand a little deadheading. Today I offer them as a virtual gift to my Mother for her birthday. Unfortunately, she is not in good health. For several years, my sister has gone to her house and planted her a flower garden for Mother’s Day. It always makes her happy.
Tomorrow I will celebrate my first year as a DCP Blogger. I hope you will stop by and visit.

On East Anderson Road you will find a small organic fruit and vegetable store. The farm is run by Nash Huber. His veggies are sold in local Saturday markets and through a “Farm Share” program. I do believe his carrots are the sweetest in the world.

P.S. Thank you for your words of sympathy and kindness on the loss of my Ollie. I am away for a couple of days, but through the magic of Word Press and the technical genusis of my brother, I can still post. I’ll be back to visit soon.,
