Flying Dormer

For the local viewers…remember the little brown modular home on display, north side of the road, just before you got to Sunny Farms? It’s been for sale for awhile and I happen to notice it was gone just this last week. Well, I know where it is…just down the street! Baby girl and my big boy were here helping me paint the new arbor when we noticed a small crane driving down the street. We went to investigate and were rewarded with this sight!

PS. Word Press will allow me to post over the next couple of days. I need to run away for a few days and de stress. Yesterday I got a ticket for speeding…the first in over 34 years…and the really bad part is I deserved it. Thank goodness my babies weren’t with me.

Angel Farm

it is time to start featuring some of the places that will be on the farm tour during the Lavender Festival, July 20-22, 2007. Angel Farm is just down the road a piece. As you can see their lavender foliage is starting to grow and it won’t be long before you can see buds starting to sprout. I could tell you all the things I love about Angel Farm, but it would probably be best to read the great story Betty Oppenheimer wrote in the link above.

At my place, I already have one variety,James Compton, in bloom. If you take care and pinch the blooms back, this one will last the summer.

I will feature another farm next week.

Soon to Be Built…Elk Plaza

If you don’t count the elevator, Sequim is soon to have it’s very first three story building in the downtown area. There are some senior apartments out on the west end, but this will be something new for the downtown area. the story I’ve linked appeared in our local newspaper and mentions condos on the third floor, office buildings on the second, and boutiques on the first floor. Hum…wonder what those condos will go for?

This ends my new construction series…but believe me, I’ve only scratched the surface.
