Some of you know I am a diehard soccer grandma. Spring season started while I was gone…no way I was going to miss the game yesterday afternoon. It wasn’t really freezing, but the quilts I carry in the car came out..the hot hands. went in the gloves. They won! 5-1. This is an adult co-ed soccer team. My grandson is playing with some of the same team members and they work well together…and they have fun! I love watching this game.

A brother and sister, these lovely beasts hang out at The Family Farm. They have a lovely “red” undercoat. Hunters, investigators, nice to have around. What is it about cats that they like to get between your legs?)

I went to pick up baskets at the Family Farm. I had ordered them before I left for my trip. For those of us who love flowers, this is like “Candyland”. When I arrived today, “Momma” was dead heading these lovely baskets. The folks at the Family Farm offer flowers, dahlias, and fresh veggies at the local farmers markets on the weekends. They can be found on the North side of Old Highway 10, West of Kitchen Dick Road. Tomorrow I will share “Blackie” and “Blackie Too”, the farm cats.
There is a possibility I previously posted this shot of the parking lot at Home Depot. My apologlies if that is indeed the case. I found the perfect shot today as I was crusising through downtown…but I do not yet have the new Photoshop to resize my photos. It should have been here. Will call tomorrow.
One of the first things I did today was fill up the beast so I could run errands. I had a chuckle when this gentleman pulled up with a gas can in the back. I did ask if I might take his picture. When I told him about my blog, he shared that about this time ever year he breaks this rig out and quits driving the gas guzzler. I know that we have had cheap gas in the US for a long time, but these continued increases hurt my pocketbook. In the two weeks I was gone, gas in Sequim went up 23 cents a gallon. I paid $3.03 for regular today. I would be curious to know what you are paying for gasoline. I wish we had more wide spread public transportation in our small town.

Silly Grandma is home! It was an easy flight…but for the second time Continental lost my suitcase. I think it something about the Amarillo-Houston connection.
I made it to Sequim in time to teach my first class for this quarter…and then three quesses where I went next! This photo was taken when the grandson had a broken arm and I went with them to the doctor…just so I could check out that x-ray. There was a distorted mirror in the playroom part of the waiting room.
Thanks to all of you who visited while I was off running around the country. I plan on having time to visit the next couple of days…and I can’t wait.
