A week ago in the Sequim Gazette, they had a full page feature called, “So you think you know Sequim!” They showed 11 photos and ask the readers to identify where they were located in Sequim. This fat fellow is on Washington Street in front of the Econo Lodge.

I am away from home and will be posting some new…some old, photos. Borrowing words from Annie…I hope you will wait for me.

We are very fortunate to have an exceptional Boys and Girls club here in Sequim, located next to Hellen Haller Elementary on Fir Street, there are many activites to keep our young people positively engaged.

In most countries it’s called, football, but we are here in the US. These were some of the players at last Sunday’s game. The sport is becoming more and more popular…thank goodness. One year my female ESL students indicated they wanted to understand the game. Oh, boy did I love that unit. I don’t think my son-in-law thought I could do it…he didn’t know how many soccer games I attended when my kids were playing.

I wish I was a poet. I wish I could express how I feel. My brother Denton, who many of you in the DP community know, my sisters, my brothers, and I have lost our dad. He was 86.

At our local Safeway, parents/grandparents are provided with this unique type of shopping cart to occupy the little ones while they get the shopping done. The only problem, as I see it, is they also put all the snack/grocery type things kids love on their eye level…do not drive this cart down the cereal aisle. Baby girl got “Little Pony” treats and Coco Pebbles cereal. (I didn’t even know who little pony was until this shopping trip.)
Being a fun grandma, I am making the appropriate car (rumm, rumm) noises, and telling Baby Girl to turn right or left as we navigated the fruits and vegetables. I noticed an older gentleman giving me a strange look..he started laughing when we came around the apples on his side and he saw BG. He confessed he thought I was talking to myself.

Do you remember the picture of the rafters, moving through the trees? The house is coming along nicely. As with most construction projects, you will drive by one day and there will be lots of worker…then nothing.
