Demolition

I can’t help but wonder how some of the older folks in town feel as they drive south on Sequim Dungeness and view part of the old Methodist Church being demolished. When Trinity United Church built a new church, they sold it to the Boys and Girls Club. When the new Boys and Girls club was built, the building was then sold to local performing arts group. They are in a third stage of remodeling and the North side of the building had to go.

Can just imagine how difficult it might be for older folks who’ve known this church through births, marriages and funerals. I love this photo despite the sadness of it. Progress I guess. And soon it’ll have a rebirth.

Demolition is never pretty but it does make for interesting pictures. Change is good but change is also difficult. That’s the way I feel about our life right now. Good and difficult.
