There are a LOT of Turkey Vultures on the peninsula. Down at the end of Sequim Bay they were sunning themselves.

Sing baby sing!
I think this is a Song Sparrow…he at least thinks he is. I sat there watching him at the top of this branch sing away with a pretty lil song for almost a half an hour.
I was at the Jamestown S’klallam village at the end of Sequim Bay. They have lovely trails and benches to enjoy the wildife and the bay.
Wildlife Wednesday – Breeding season
You see bald eagles everywhere on the peninsula at his time of the year. They are actively hunting to feed their voracious chicks.

If Eagles Talked
I got great video of these two “talking” to each other. Squawking back and forth in their unique Eagle screeches. I was wondering what they were saying.
A nest can be just about ANYWHERE
Walking thru a park you can see Canadian geese nesting everywhere. This one had built her nest next to the tree.
This one was next to a rock–otherwise right out in the open. Another was just in the middle of a field-but I lost that photo.
Rest up lil Siskin
This lil Pine Siskin was resting on my rock…he looked a little dazed and didn’t move as I ran back into the house to get my camera. (Don’t worry he flew off a few minutes later!)
