Jack Frost arrives

Winter arrived early. Last week, in fact. It snowed early Friday morning, all the way down to sea level, though most lowlanders got a mere dusting. And it snowed again on Sunday morning. The mountains are well dusted. A friend tells me that this is the earliest Sequim has gotten snow in 45 years.

Whether there’s snow accumulating, melting, or just dusting the ground I can attest that it’s been plenty cold.

  1. Yikes! I think you live in a gorgeous area but I don’t miss the snow at all. It gets hot here for a few months but the rest of the years if pretty nice. You don’t get heavy snowfalls, though, right?

Re your question on Ocala: I ate a chicken salad sandwich (made with nuts and grapes) on a flaky croissant with some Sun Chips and a diet coke. It was good!

  2. It’s getting a little bit chilly with the gusty winds blowing through town here. We got some sleet on Saturday but it didn’t last long. Nice photo of the mountains! Hope Jack doesn’t hang around to long.
