Theme Day: Photographing the photographer

For City Daily Photo Theme Day this month we turn our cameras on our fellow photographers for a glance at the other side of the lens. A recent trip to Butchart Gardens in British Columbia was an opportunity to observe a number of styles, starting with a variation on the classic yoga “chair pose.”

Then there’s the casual one handed approach.

Who says the photographer can’t be part of the shot?

Photographers tend to immerse themselves in their subjects. Closer…closer…

  1. Great shots for the theme Kay. I like the various styles of these photographers. Never tried the casual pose when taking a photo, it probably would come out blurry if I did. 🙂

  2. What a fantastic series of shots for the theme Kay, your descriptions made me laugh, the classic yoga ‘chair pose’ is a classic 😀

  3. I like the variety of poses you show. The one of the photographer using only one hand reminded me of some recent photos I took (and posted on my blog, but I am not going to confess which ones). I was holding my granddaughter, then probably only five months old, and had my camera hanging around my neck. Something caught my attention, so I held Hazel with my left hand and managed to take a decent photograph with my big DSLR in my right.
