I noticed a boat in motion at the Port Townsend shipyard. A worker guided it between obstacles as it came in my direction.
Sundancer moved into position for repairs.
This is the sort of apparatus that’s used to navigate boats on shore.

It is amazing how they move these boats over dry land. The apparatus is called a Travel Lift.
Great photos, Kay. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sling like that before. But it makes sense. When we injure a limb we put them in a sling. Very cool!
It’s a tricky business, moving something that big that isn’t at home out of the water.
Sundancer definitely looks in need of a spruce up Kay 😀 The trouble with boats is that when they go back in the water you can’t see the results!
Something most people don’t see. I imagine they use the same thing when taking them out for the winter.
